Carbon Footprint Lab

What is your carbon footprint? Find out at www.myfootprint.com!
But besides that! If everyone in the world lived like i did we would need five and a half earths! That's crazy and a big wake up call on how much I actually contribute to the pollution on this earth.

In a perfect world and everyone lived like cavemen and didn't drive or live in a house with heat and recycle everything they used and not use currency almost at all. We would be able to keep our world at the same rate. But, everyone likes their toy. Eg; motorcycles, cars, dirt bikes, four wheelers, jet skis, and boats! The world would not be the same without any of those!

Day 7 -- Nuclear Waste Research

Radiation...

One thing we have to find a solution to nuclear waste is created every time we make some energy for our own needs. How do we keep this nuclear energy away? Space? Bury it? Shoot it to the sun? But, cost efficient...
Is this even possible? Plus, we have to be careful about how we dispose of this waste because, otherwise we could end up losing most of our population to improper disposal of nuclear waste creating a radiation cloud and basically a fog of death. Scary? I know! What's the correct solution?

Day 6 -- Nuclear Energy Research

Did you know that nuclear energy is actually not that dangerous?

Nuclear energy is causing our world to pollute less and create more jobs in the process.
Nuclear energy is also a developing way of making lots of energy throughout the world.
BUT! we always get critics what about Chernobyl or Hanford site or what about Japan right now?!
Well, just because there has been a few accidents doesn't mean that all nuclear energy is bad... How many coal mining deaths has there been compared to nuclear power plants deaths.. 170,000 people die per year due to the creation of coal power. Compared to about 100,000 people per year for nuclear power.

Which is truly safer?

Day 5 -- Waste disposal research

Disposal of solid waste is seriously important.

We keep sending off all of our solid waste into garbage trucks and than forget about it... Where do you think it goes?
No where... Your solid waste is being burried beneath you creating more carbon emmisions slowly along with burning it. The only way to stop this made outrage of pollution upon our once green earth is to recycle!

Can you do your part?

Day 3 -- Solid Waste Research

Can you say wow?

Can you believe that everyone generates 4.6 pounds of waste every day? Our population of people is in the billions! We create more waste than any other country in the world!!!  We say were a WORLD POWR.... were actually a world polluter!

I think that our country needs to get our act together and start recycling and not consuming so much. Along with Manufacturing waste is way to high! Do we need to package everything that can possible be "contaminated"? No we don't!
